Make it Monday #40, part 2

Today I have another Make-it-Monday card to share with you. This time I was trying to be brave and use red thread for my machine stitiching for the reverse applique technique. Try not to look too closely, it proved much harder than stitching around a circle. I still have quite a bit of patterned paper from Holiday Vintage Prints which is what I placed behind my cut out frame from Fillable Frames #4. I added a snowflake die that was heat embossed with my red glitter embossing powder. The sentiment is also heat embossed with white powder. I really love how it stands out. I also popped up the white card front with foam adhesive.

  1. Wow! This looks really nice. You are brave to stitch red on white, but then again, you are a sewer (is there a better term)? The red and white is so striking.

  2. Your card is LOVELY! Nice job!!
    Have a GREAT day!!

  3. Another beautiful card using the reverse applique technique! I love it!
By the way, Deb, did you get the pm I sent you on the PTI boards?

  4. How cool! I love the way you have echoed the notch in the tag on the red strip. Clever you! The festive colors are so lovely and refreshing too.

  5. Love the way you used the cutout...
it's fabulous tied in with the red accent strip!
    Beautiful card!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving some kind words. They brighten my day!
