Pages with Papertrey, Sketch 20

Hi friends! I hope you have had a great week. I managed to find a bit of time this week to work on Joshua's baby album. Yay!!!! I only have one page to share, but I am slowly closing in on finishing this project. Today's layout plays along with Pages with Papertrey sketch #20. The kit that I have been using is Becky Higgins Sweet Baby kit. Unfortunately there are only 2 items from the kit on this page: the blue graph patterned paper and the epoxy elephant sticker. The rest of the supplies are Papertrey Ink.

I used my silhouette and block alphabet die for the title. I inked up Boy Basics: Grunge me to add some detail to the grey cardstock. I did the same to the Tag Sale#3 die cuts and added some machine stitching. I also used Label Basics, Mini Scrapbook series: Library Ledger and additions in the left bottom corner for the date. The texture on the Enchanted Evening die cut is one of the new embossing folders that DeNami Design is now carrying: Thin Lines. I love the texture that it gives. Oh, and I am aware that the stitching is quite off. That's what happens when you are on a mission to finish a project that you have been working on for 2 years! Ha!

Thanks for stopping by. My sister and her family should be arriving to my neck of the woods soon for my nephew's tennis tournament. To see some awesome photos of him playing, you can check him out here. I am so proud of him. Have a great weekend

DeNami Design, Product Spotlight Halloween Kitty

Hi friends! I hope that you are having a good week so far. Today is product spotlight over at DeNami Design. The design team is showcasing Halloween Kitty by having a DeNami blog hop. You should've arrived at my blog from Lisa Petrella's blog. If you visit each design team members blog and leave a comment along the way, you will be eligible to win this stamp! You can also add this fabulous stamp to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.

For my project I made a treat box. I am a huge fan of candy corn, so I just had to make this little treat.

I used a Boutique box to store my goodies. I inked up Halloween Kitty in orange ink and added Trick or Treat for my sentiment. I wrapped some Orange Stripe washi tape around the box and then stamped Teeny Star background on orange cardstock that I stuffed inside the box.

Super cute and simple. This project would be great for any holiday treat. Simply change out your stamped image, sentiment and holiday goody.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to be eligible to win!

Wendy is your next stop!

CAS-ual Fridays, Tags and Bags

Hi friends! It's Friday, which means I have another project to share with you for CAS-ual Fridays. It also means that I hope you can find some time to relax and kick your feet back. Our challenge is to create a clean and simple project using a bag and tag. You can use any type of bag, handmade or store bought, but it must include a tag.

Our fabulous sponsor for this 2 week challenge is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. The winner of this challenge will earn a stamp set of their choice.

For my project, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out my bag (Design ID#45733). With this design, you can create your project using one 8 1/2x11 piece of cardstock. For my tag, I inked up Lotsa Links and die cut it using Funky Round Tag. For the sentiment, I inked up Christmas Carols and added the mini petal in red. I closed the bag using some PTI New Leaf saddle stitch ribbon.

I had so much fun creating this project that I made a little Halloween treat bag as well. It is closer than Christmas, right?  I used Lotsa Links again but this time I used PTI's Tag Its#7 and Trick or Treat from DeNami Design. I originally bought this cut file to help create little treats for my children's teachers for Christmas. It is really great for any type of treat!

That's it for me today. You have until noon on Thursday, October 31st to play along. I can't wait to see what you create!

DeNami Design Halloween blog hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to the DeNami Design, Halloween blog hop. I hope you have been inspired along the way. You should've arrived here by way of Ruza's blog. If you get lost along the hop, head back to the DeNami blog for a full list of participants.

If you visited my blog during World Card Making Day, then you would've seen a sneak peek at my project. Today I have the full reveal. I enlisted the help of my daughter, Leah, to create the treats she would hand out to her classmates for their Halloween treats.

I stamped the chevron image in black from Modern Borders onto the front of my die cut. To create the focal point, I stamped Friendly Mummy and Friendly Ghost and used my Silhouette to cut them out. I love being able to use my machine for mass production! We made 18 of these! I used my new embossing folder, Circles, that DeNami is now carrying. I recently picked up a bunch of these which I know you will be seeing on the blog soon.

To adhere the treat to the inside so that it wouldn't fall out, I used my ATG. To keep the treat close, I also added a bit of ATG to the bottom panel. Leah worked on the inside of the treats using Teeny Star, and Trick or Treat. She had a lot of fun helping me with this project.

So your next stop along the hop is none other than may daughter, Leah.  She used Halloween Spider Web, Teeny Star, Friendly Mummy, and  Friendly Ghost for her card. She used my copics to color her images. Here is what she has to share about her creation:

"I just thought I wanted to use ghosts and mummies because they are scary. The reason why I put the ghosts on one side and the mummies on the other is because I didn't want to mix them up."

I just had to share this picture of her again. I love to kiss those cheeks!

So your next stop along the hop is the super talented Paulina. She always has something so creative to share. I can't wait to see what she has created!

Don't forget about the THREE gift certificates that will be given away! One gift certificate will go to a random participant and TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop! You have until October 14, 2013 11:59pm PST to comment and be eligible.

Happy hopping!

CAS-ual Fridays, In Stitches

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you have had a good week. It has been a busy one for us for sure. I am popping in today with a card for CAS-ual Fridays. The challenge this week is to create a clean and simple project using real or faux stitching.

The sponsor of this week's challenge is SimonSaysStamp. The winner of this challenge will earn a $25 gift certificate.

For my card, I originally thought I would use some faux stitching since I have one stitching stamp from DeNami Design. But I happened to still have my machine out from using it on a layout for my son's baby album. So I quickly put together my card. The score lines were created using my Martha Stewart score board. I die cut my purple cardstock using PTI's Tag sale#5 and trimmed off the top. I attached it to the cardbase using my sewing machine, of course. The sentiment was created using my Silhouette and the sequins were attached with glossy accents. The cardstock is from DeNami, although they are no longer carrying them. Sniff, sniff.

This challenge is a one week challenge. You have until noon on Thursday, October 17th to link up and play. I can't wait to see what you create!

DeNami Design Product Spotlight, Halloween Spider Web

Hi friends! It's Product Spotlight time over at the DeNami Design blog. Today the design team is showcasing Halloween Spider Web.  This stamp is awesome because you have a sentiment and image in a single stamp. Love that! You can head on over to the blog to see what the rest of the design team has created. And you can add this stamp to your cart and save 10%, one week only.
I stamped the image in black and "colored" the sentiment with a purple copic. Then I added some gray to the web and spiders. To create my panel, I used Three Line Border that I stamped on a diagonal. Then I used my Quickie glue pen to add some Desert Orange glitter. The finishing touch was using my copics to color in my Silver Rhinestones.

That is all for me today. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

I'm back as promised!

So despite getting to bed last night waaaaay past my bedtime, I was up early this morning to get my craft on.  Lately I have been working on some home organizing projects during the week, so I have been trying to work on design team projects on the weekends. That also means getting crafty with my precious 6 year old, Leah. I love that she loves to do crafts with me. Just last weekend she wanted to make a card for her papa and grandma, just because. I love that!

So this morning, we spent some time working on the Halloween treats that she will pass out to her classmates. I have created some cut files with my Silhouette to coordinate with some of my stamps to help with mass production projects, so this is no exception. So although I worked on the outside of the treat, she worked on the inside. Here are a few pictures from this morning.

You've got to love her precious new missing tooth smile.

And although she is out of focus in this shot, I just had to share her peeking from behind her DeNami chickie.

This just shows her personality. There is a small TV that is off to her left and while I was messing with my camera, she was paddling her chickie as if she was in a boat. Boy, do I love that dimple and that girl!

Love how she is checking out her inking job on her stamp before stamping.

Now I can't share this final project since the DeNami Halloween blog hop is just a week away. Can you take a guess at what we made together?

Just a reminder again about DeNami's WCMD challenge. We would love for you to play along and see your fabulous DeNami creation! There a prize for one lucky winner and a giveaway.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy World Card Making Day with DeNami

Happy World Card Making Day! I hope you find some time to get crafty today. This morning I have a card to share with you that I created for DeNami Design's World Card Making Day challenge.

You can participate by playing Tic-Tac-Toe, DeNami style.  We can't wait to see what you create. There will be a prize and a giveaway

For my card, I played the middle horizontal row: green, glitter and polka dots. I left my card without a sentiment since I thought it could be a great any occasion type of card. I used some score tape to create my diagonal stripes and then added some Martha Stewart coarse glitter. I inked up Polka Dot Elephant in green ink and added my pinked edge circle behind it.

I do hope you find some time to play along. I will have another post today to share some pictures of Leah and me getting crafty as we create the treats she will be giving away to her classmates for Halloween. I can't give away too many details since the DeNami Halloween blog hop is only a week away *wink*. Thanks for stopping by!

DeNami Design Pin-spired

Hi friends! Some of the other DeNami DT girls and I are sharing our Pin-spired creations today.

Once I saw this gorgeous Fall inspired bouquet, I knew immediately that I wanted to color in Garden Bouquet. I created my own cut file using my Silhouette, so I attached my image with foam adhesive. I added Thinking of You, script for my sentiment and then a bit of  Three Line border behind my main panel.

Don't forget to stop by the DeNami Design blog to see what some of the other designers have created!
