Pages with Papertrey Sketch Challenge #1

Here is the Pages with Papertrey sketch challenge #1, posted by Leigh over here

Here is my layout for the challenge.

I was limited by the only photos that I actually had printed and laying out on my table. (I hope that doesn't make me a bad scrapper.) The photos I had printed were mostly horizontal so I rotated the sketch. I shifted the title block to the top to sit next to my only vertical photo and I also moved the jornaling block to the bottom of the page. These are the photos I took of my daughter's last day at her daycare when she was 2 years old. All of the products used here are from the Becky Higgins School Expansion Kit. If you look at my journal cards in the pocket, you'll notice they are still blank. I know, I know. I have my notes written on another piece of paper and I have yet to write them on the cards. I will eventually, don't worry.

I added some machine stitching to the title and also to the top right corner of the page to give it some texture.

  1. This is so CUTE Deb.. I LOVE how you switched the sketch.. and the color combo is perfect!
    Have a GREAT day!

  2. Nice job. Love the stitching. Like how you have the one card standing out.

  3. I love your take on the sketch, Deb! This is fabulous!

  4. Deb that is fabulous! I love how you changed the orientation and I really like that pocket thing for the journallling. Nice

  5. Awesome! What a wonderful keepsake. Gorgeous layout. For someone like myself who has never scrapped, you sure have me feeling like I might have to try. So inspiring!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving some kind words. They brighten my day!
