a gift...

...from God.

Yes, that is how I view my children. My husband and I are so blessed to be called mommy and daddy. Blessed by God to care and nurture our son and daughter that He has placed in our arms forever. I constantly tell them that they are a gift from God.

Tonight I have the second half of the 2 page layout to share with you about "Being showered". As I sit here and type this, I just realized that I never did distress the orange patterned paper with my Tim Holtz Antique Linen to tone it down some. That layout is stitched and glued with heavy adhesive, there is no taking it apart. Oh well. All of the elements are from the Becky Higgins Sweet Baby kit.

The romper that my son is wearing I actually made for him before he was born. It is a size 3 months, so unfortunately I tucked it away. I tried sneaking into his room tonight to find it but I was making too much noise. I will try to unpack soon and take a photo of it to share with you. I also had made him another one in an adorable dinosaur print.

The baby shower my coworkers threw for me was just before I returned to work. Joshua was almost 3 months old. If you glance at the gifts we received, they had given me a lot of diapers and wipes. Can you believe that he is almost 8 months old and I still have not bought any wipes?!!! And we have dealt with plenty of diaper explosions too. Now that was a lot of wipes!

  1. He is just the cutest little thing. I'm impressed that you sew his clothes.

  2. Oh, my nephew is just the cutest little thing! He looks so little in these photos.

Both your munchkins are such a gift. I'm tickled to be their auntie.

  3. Oh, your son is so beautiful! What a great idea to record the gifts you received! Wonderful layout, Deb!

  4. He is so cute! I love the little bald head - mine always came out with a toupee already on, hee hee.

  5. Your son is adorable in that romper. You are a very talented woman. Treasure your gifts from God.
    The layout is striking.

  6. Adorable layout, Deb! I'm so glad you added your name to the Moxie Fab World Blog Roll. I'm looking forward to stopping by from time to time!

  7. Such a cutie Deb, fabulous layout and so cool that you recorded your gifts like that. All those details I never thought of.
