I hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start. Today I have a card to share for Papertrey Ink's August blog hop. There is so much inspiration, I love it! Here is our fabulous challenge.
Since I do not have the Herringbone IP or stamp set or have any tweed or burlap in my stash, I opted to create a card using felt. I did contmeplate using my Background basics: Houndstooth, but ended up using 2 pieces of left over felt from another project. Hmm, that project was 1 1/2 years ago. Now I finally get to
clear off my shelf use my scraps. Yay!
I kept the colors neutral by using Soft Stone for my cardbase. I stamped the Library card in the same ink onto my notebook die cut. The dark chocolate felt flower was die cut from Beautiful Blooms II #1 and then layered with a cream felt butterfly from Butterfly Dreams. I finished it off with a Spring Moss button and rustic twine. The sentiment is from Big Bold Wishes stamped in Dark Chocolate onto my Double ended banners die cut.
Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!
