Happy New Year!

This is my first post for 2013 and it also happens to be my very first post as this week's CASology guest designer.

To start of the new year, this week's cue card is:

For my card, I chose to keep it as close as I could to one layer. I used the double circle image from CAS-ual Fridays Big Thanks and the sentiment from Countdown. I added the bling because...well, when ringing in the New Year, you've got to have bling *wink*.

Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you create with this week's cue card!

CASology Gifts

Just popping in with a super quick post. This week's challenge over at CASology is gifts.

I created these little tags a couple of days ago, but haven't had the chance to share them on the blog yet. I inked up CAS-ual Friday Stamps: Snowflake Greetings and Merry-Kissmas. I paper pieced the gifts. The tag is PTI's Tag sale #3, one of my most used dies. These tags will adorn the presents for my niece and nephew which will be attached with some simple baker's twine. Thanks for stopping by!

CASology Cue Card, Sugar

Pretty boring post title, but I am very under the weather, so it will suffice. Despite the cold bug rearing it's ugly head yesterday, my daughter and I managed to each create a card this morning. We had gone out to dinner last night and the restaurant is also located next to my local Michaels. Well, I had run out of my scrapbooking tape, so my daughter and I ran into Michaels to pick up some more.

Every time we go, she insists on getting something she needs wants. If we find something for $1, then that is fine with me. With all of the Halloween stuff marked down to 70% off, that was our first stop. We managed to find some K & Company embellies that had candy images for $0.99! So I asked her if I could borrow one for a card. She obliged and then decided she wanted to make one too. I reminded her to keep her card simple since that is the challenge. Kind of hard for a 5 year old, but I think she did a pretty good job.

Here is her card. She used a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays, Woot woot!

I did some selective stamping to create my sentiment from two different PTI stamps. I also added some Martha Stewart coarse glitter using a 2 way glue pen to add some "sugar" to my card.
