DeNami Product Spotlight, Grass Border

Today is product spotlight over at DeNami Design. The design team is showcasing Grass border by having a DeNami blog hop. You should've arrived to my blog from Lisa Petrella's blog. If you visit each design team members blog and leave a comment along the way, you will be eligible to win this set! You can also add this fabulous stamp to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.

To create my card, I first inked up Flower bloom, trying not to overlap the images. Then I stamped Grass border. I colored in both images with my copics. I diecut some grey cardstock and stamped  Spring Greetings and wrapped it with some Buttercream twine from The Twinery.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to be eligible to win!

PTI February 2013 blog hop

It's that time if the month again. It's time for Papertrey Ink's monthly blog hop. There is always a ton of inspiration. The challenge this month is to create a project using Monograms.

Here is the gorgeous inspiration photo.

The 25th snuck up on me, so yesterday I got busy creating. I was inspired by the bottom right photo. I actually only have one PTI alphabet stamp, Fresh Alphabet. And being the clean and simple gal that I am, I chose to ink up Boy Basics: Circles in Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist and Simply Chartruese. I punched them out with my 1 inch circle punch. I also added my lines using Mini Scrapbook Series: Libray Ledger inked up in Soft Stone. I created a set of 10 notecards. Although these are inked up with the letter "D", they are not for me.

CAS-ual Fridays, Hi-Ho Silver

Hello friends! I can't believe that we are more than half way through February. It just doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day or days in the week to get everything done. Sigh. Today I am back to share a card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge. This week you are to create a clean and simple project using silver. Sounds easy enough, right?

Before I get to the details of my card, today we are saying farewell to some fabulous Girl Fridays. It has been such a joy working with them since joining the team. I wish them the absolute best in their future endeavors!

Our sponsor this week is Ribbons Unlimited.

I struggled a bit in making my card. You see, I do not have a bunch of silver in my stash. My first thought was to use some embossing powder that I had. It is called cement, but it just looked a bit too dull. I used to have a silver pigment ink pad, but that dried out eons ago. So I dug out some silver acrylic paint that I had. I layered it with a paintbrush onto the brush stroke stamp from CAS-ual Fridays Breathe. I learned this technique back when I began my blog from a Papertrey Ink Make-it-Monday: stamping with acrylic ink. Because the paint does not go on even or stamp off even, it gives the image some dimension and texture. Love that! I also added some silver bling to my sentiment panel.

I hope you find some time to play along with us this week. You have until noon on Thrusday to link up and play. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-ual Fridays, Black and white plus one

Happy Friday friends! If you frequent my blog, then you will have noticed a lot of red, pink and black. Well, today I have something to share with a little bit of aqua. Over at CAS-ual Fridays, the challenge is to create a clean and simple project using black and white plus one other color.

For my card, I inked up one of the new releases Beanstalks. Keeping it pretty CAS, I used one sentiment and one image. I added some DeNami twine to the panel and that adhered it to my cardfront which I ran through my cuttlebug with my woodgrain impression plate from Papertrey Ink.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day from our family to yours!

For those of you who have little ones and try hopelessly to capture them in front of the camera, you can understand my pain. I tried to photograph my littles together and then attempted one more time with the help my my hubby. I am not sure the results were any better, but we did manage a few shots that we can use to put in our yearly Valentine's Day album.

I also wanted to share with you the the Valentine's that my daughter and I made for her to exchange with her classmates. Because crafting time was limited, I had Leah create the inside of her Valentine while I stamped, diecut and assembled the rest. The bulk of my stamping supply is Papertrey Ink and DeNami Design. DeNami's wood mounted stamps are perfect for her little fingers. She has struggled in the past to use my acrylic blocks and clear stamps because they are just a bit too big. Well, this time around, she inked up Papertrey Ink's Heart Prints and did such a fantastic job! I am really proud of her.

I stamped a similar design that I used for her Halloween treats in 2011 using PTI's lunchbox die. I inked up Background Basics: Text Style II and 2010 Love Tags. I chose to include a lollipop taking this idea from this post from Maile Belles. I used some score tape around the stick to keep the ribbon from sliding off. Our bag of pops cost under $3 so it was much cheaper than the Ghiradelli chocolates that we used before. Score!

Here she is working hard on her stamping.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

DeNami Product Spotlight, Scallop Circle

***This is my second post for the day. If you are looking for my CAS-ual Fridays sneak peek post, please scroll down***

Today is product spotlight over at DeNami Design. The design team is showcasing Scallop Circle (cling) by having a DeNami blog hop. You should've arrived to my blog from Lisa Petrella's blog. You can also add this fabulous stamp to your shopping cart and save 10%, one week only.

If you follow my blog, then you have probably noticed a lot of red lately. Hmm, Valentine's Day is tomorrow. So I thought I would create another card for the occasion. For my card, I kept it pretty CAS as usual. I inked up  Petite Fours: Heart stamp set and Scallop circle (cling) in white ink onto some Red cardstock. I also inked up scallop circle in black ink and trimmed out the inner circle. I stamped love from Heartfelt greetings stamp set which I adhered to the cardfront using foam adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by.

CAS-ual Fridays, Only You sneak peek

Today is the final day of sneak peeks over at the  CAS-ual Fridays stamps blog. If you have had the chance to visit, then you have seen some fabulous creations by the rest of the Girl Fridays and guest designers. I hope you have been able to leave a comment because there will be a winner chosen from each day's sneak peek post. You still have time to go back and comment to be eligible.

Today I am showcasing Only You. This set is chock full of sentiments that you will want to have. I am thrilled to now own this sentiment which is near and dear to my heart. Ever since my 5 year old daughter was a little, little girl, I would often tell her this. It would go like this:

"Leah, I don't know how it happens, but I love you more and more each day."

Really, Michele, did you create this stamp set just for me?!!! I can't believe it!  This sentiment is made from 3 different sentiment pieces. You will want to have this stamp set. No kidding!

Stay tuned to the CAS-ual Fridays stamp blog for the full reveal tomorrow. You won't want to miss it. Thanks for stopping by!

DeNami Blog hop, Adorable Animals

Welcome to the DeNami Design blog hop. I hope you are having a wonderful, inspirational time. You should've arrived here from Debbie Bonczek's blog. She has a way of using patterned paper that you will love. If you get lost along the hop, you can always head back to the beginning. This month's theme is adorable animals. As we all know, DeNami design has a fabulous collection of adorable animals and chickies.

For my card, I used only one stamp, You're A "Tweetie" Chickies. I colored in my image with my copics and attached it to my cardbase. Super CAS, that's me.

Now the next stop along the hop is right here on my blog. My daughter Leah, who is almost 5 1/2 years old, loves DeNami stamps, especially the chickies. So without further ado, I will let her describe her card to you.

"I worked hard. I stamped hard. And the castle was beautiful. I wanted to add  a little bow because I love bows! I wanted pink because pink is pretty. I like  to use stamps."

To create her card, she inked up Girl chickie, Fairy Princess Chickie, Ballerina Chickie, and Princess Castle. She colored the images using her Crayola twistable colored pencils. She wanted to add a tiny bow and since she cannot tie one yet, I offered my assistance.

Your next stop along the hop is Donna Bowman. She is super talented and I know you will love what she has created.

Don't forget about the THREE $20 gift certificates that will be given away! One gift certificate will go to a random participant and TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop! You have until February 11, 2013 11:59pm PST to comment and be eligible.

Thanks for stopping by! Leah and I are so grateful!

CAS-ual Fridays, Love song

Hi friends! I hope you had a fabulous week. Valentine's Day is just around the corner and the Grammy's will be in a few days. So CAS-ual Fridays has a challenge to celebrate both. Create a clean and simple project inspired by a love song. The winner of this week's challenge will receive a prize from CAS-ual Fridays stamps.

So, I must confess. Whenever it comes to music and movies, I always call upon my husband for some input. This time he directed me to his iTunes library and his Delilah playlist. So I stumbled upon Lionel Richie. Sigh. His self title album was the very first casette I ever bought. I even danced to a couple of his songs for talent shows. So, just in case you haven't figured out the title of my love song, it is "Hello" by Lionel Richie.

I used my Silhouette cameo to create my sentiment. A little while back the Silhouette blog had a little tutorial on how to make this word bubble here.  I used Word bubble collection (id #29232) and hello card (id#28239). I ran my cardbase through my cuttlebug with my Linen/canvas impression plate from Papertrey Ink and attached my sentiment with foam adhesive.

Don't forget that you have until noon on Thursday to link up and play. Can't wait to see what you create!

DeNami meets Craft Dash

***This is my second post for the day. To see my DeNami Pin-spired post, please scroll down.***

The next project that I have to share with you today is for 10 minute Craft Dash over at Pretty Pink Posh. The theme for this challenge is to create a card/project using hearts in under 10 minutes. Paulina has some great tips that you can find here. I can hardly believe that this is my 3rd time participating in this challenge. It defnitely pushes me out of my comfort zone!

The DeNami design team is joining in on the fun. DeNami design has offered a fabulous gift certificate to this week's winner.

For my card, I used Red and White cardstock. I inked up Petite Fours Heart stamp set in Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz and Sweet Blush ink and randomly stamped my hearts. I added Love You Forever for my sentiment. I trimmed my cardstock and added it to the cardbase. The total time to create this card was 5 minutes and 23 seconds. I am pretty sure it would've taken me less time if I didn't work so slowly. However, I think it may still be the quickest card I have created.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you get the chance to play along!

For my card set, I used only two stamps: Love You Forever and  Petite Fours: Hearts stamp set.  I  used Magenta,  Petal pink, White, and Kraft cardstocks. I ran the Petal pink cardstock through my cuttlebug with my Linen/canvas impression plate from Papertrey Ink. The finished size is 2in x3in.

These are fun little love notes that you can mass produce easily. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-ual Fridays, Love letters

It's the beginning of February and love is in the air! Today's challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays is to create a clean and simple card using alpha stamps, dies, stickers, etc. Our fabulous sponsor this week is Ellen Hutson. The winner of this week's challenge will win a $25 gift certificate.

To make my card, I used my Silhouette cameo to die cut the font, Pacifico (which I welded together) and the arrow and hearts (design #37263). I stamped some circles from Papertrey Ink's Boy Basics: Grunge Me in Soft Stone ink and ran it through my cuttlebug with my Linen/canvas impression plate.
