It's that time of the month again. It's Papertrey Ink's February blog hop. This is such a fun time of the month to gain inspiration from many wonderful crafter's. The challenge this month is to create an interactive card.
I admit I struggled on this one. Since I started blogging, I have discovered that I tend to be a CAS gal. It's hard to create an interactive card and keep it CAS, especially when you leave the challenge to the last possible minute. Yes, I didn't start my card until this morning. I wanted to use this week's Make-it-Monday technique again, glittered buttons. Most of you that follow my blog know that I am a huge fan of glitter. The sentiment that I wanted to be interactive is meant to send someone cheer, so I wanted to use bright Spring colors. Although I have had issues with my new Spring Moss premium dye ink changing colors, I opted to use it on my card because it is simply one of my favorite colors.
So I based my card off of a previous design seen here. Thanks for stopping by!
Such a beautiful card Deb, your colours are so spring-y. Your pull out sentiment is so thoughtful. I love the houndstooth. Agree that CAS and interactive are hard to do.
ReplyDeleteSuper lovely, Deb! I love your row of glittered buttons and the sentiment that you pull out (do you have a pocket in the back?)
ReplyDeleteI admire your CAS style, Deb. I struggle with CAS, though it is a style I really like. For me, I often end up feeling like something is still missing from my project, therefore I tend to be the more layers kind of gal! I think you did a great job with this challenge!
ReplyDeleteso cute! love the glitter buttons!
ReplyDeleteReally cute! I love that the little tag could be used as a bookmark and a great reminder of your care for them everytime they open their book! Great job! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteP.S. I found your blog through the PTI blog hop (obviously) but I just finished going through several of your posts and love your work! I was wondering if you'd consider adding the Email Subscription gadget to your sidebar since I find the easiest way to follow blogs is when their posts come to my inbox!
